Electricity

Electricity is the energy produced from charged particles, including electrons and protons. This energy can be created through several methods, like kinetic energy, solar power, or chemical processes. It manifests in two types: direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC), which supply power to our homes, devices, and factories.

Finding Voltage Using the Ohm's Law

Consider the circuit, in which three resistors of resistances $R, 2 R$, and $R$ are connected to batteries of voltages $V$ and $2 V$, as shown in the figure below. If $R=45 \Omega$ and $V=15 \mathrm{~V}$, determine $I$. Express your answer in mA using zero decimal places. Please note that depending on the direction of the current, your answer may be negative. If that is the case for you, please do not forget the minus sign!

Finding Electrical Power

A device uses an electric current of 2 Amperes when connected to a power supply of 12 Volts. How much electrical power does the device use?
