Step 1 :Rearrange the formula to find the Input Distance: \(Input Distance = \frac{Output Distance}{AMA}\)

Step 2 :Calculate the Input Distance: \(Input Distance = \frac{8}{6} = \boxed{1.33}\) meters (approximately)
